Our association The SeaCleaners believe in a corrective solution by collecting floating waste before they break down and join the oceanic gyres or sink.

The Manta will operate in areas with the highest densities of waste namely estuaries or mouths of rivers identified as being the most polluting in the world. An article published in National Geographic indicates that “10 rivers are responsible for dumping 88 to 95% of the world plastic waste of all sizes in oceans” (Note: these rivers are mainly located in Asia, Africa and South America).

The targeting will be done with satellite images that we will collect and also thanks to exploratory campaigns specifically set up by The SeaCleaners and by data provided by other associations and all other specialized organizations willing to support our actions.
