Olympic foil champion at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, selected for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, the Italian fencer Daniele Garozzo is also an avid surfer and ocean lover. On the sidelines of a World Cup event, he wanted to support the Manta project.

The SeaCleaners was present

Salon Plongee With more than 63,000 visitors, this 22nd edition of the International Scuba Diving Show brought together from 10 to 13 January 2020, lovers and enthusiasts of the oceans. The SeaCleaners crew was present during these four days to present the Manta project through numerous animations and challenged the visitors with a freediving waste collection challenge accompanied by Romain Hinfray, bronze medalist at the 2019 French Championships.
Boot Dusseldorf With 250,000 visitors from all over the world, Boot is Europe’s largest boat show. Every year, the German Ocean Foundation runs a 500m² space there, called “Love Your Ocean”, designed to make visitors aware of the fragility of the marine ecosystem and to present pioneering initiatives aimed at preserving it. The SeaCleaners was one of them, with an exclusive virtual reality device allowing a real immersion in the bowels of MANTA. Thanks to the 3D glasses developed by our sponsor ALLIANZ Global Investors, the general public, schoolchildren and trade show professionals were able to discover our project in a new light. The presence of The SeaCleaners at Boot also marks the first step in our development in Germany.


On January 28th, Yvan Bourgnon spoke at a school in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, with CP and CM1 students. Exciting exchanges with children who are curious and very sensitive to ocean plastic pollution.
