Europe’s largest underwater collection: call for volunteers!

NSA (Nettoyeurs SubAquatiques), a diving club specializing in underwater waste collection, is organizing a giant collection event on Saturday, October 7, 2023 in Arcachon, which will be the largest underwater collection in Europe!

The SeaCleaners will be partnering this event, for which we will be equipping the 250 divers expected to attend with belubags and supplying waste elevators to bring up large pieces of waste from the depths of the Bay of Arcachon. The belubags and waste elevators were created by Manta Innovation in partnership with the NSA to facilitate waste collection while diving. They’re pollution control solutions by divers, for divers!

We’ll also be taking advantage of this exceptional event to celebrate the Fête de la Science with a special Participatory Science dive on Sunday, October 8!

Not a diver? Don’t worry, we’re also looking for volunteers to help welcome divers, sort waste and raise awareness at the village stand!
