Music festival season is ON, and so are we !

After a blank year in 2020, music festivals are back on the menu in the Summer 2021! The SeaCleaners jumped at the opportunity to meet festival-goers at the Francofolies in La Rochelle and resume with our mission of spreading the word about the threat of plastic pollution .

It is under the shade of the Bobinec Garden in La Rochelle that our team established its quarters in the Francocean village of the Francofolies Music Festival. A space dedicated to the preservation of the oceans, gathering 10 NGOs. Artists were also invited! Like Molécule, or Suzane, who came to visit us on the “Conversations” stage, a daily meeting between committed artists and skippers (available soon in podcast).

The few days of rain did not discourage our volunteers. Mantawa, Fill the Bottle Challenge, Funny Fish, all our animations were available to entertain and inform festival-goers about the problem of plastic in the oceans.

“It was great to meet the festival goers and see that young people are genuinely interested in the environmental cause. The village was like a little educational break from the hustle and bustle of the festival.”
