A look back at the 13th Indowaste in Jakarta
Indonesia
5 September 2023
Indowaste is Indonesia's largest event dedicated to waste management technologies and solutions. And we were there for the second year in a row.
Indonesia’s 13th No. 1 international event for waste treatment technologies and solutions was held from August 30 to September 1, 2023, at Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) Kemayoran, Jakarta, Indonesia.
This exhibition and forum brings together leading professionals from the wastewater, waste treatment, waste, renewable energy, safety, firex and smart city industries: it is the largest show of its kind in Indonesia.
This year’s (almost) 600 exhibitors from 27 countries showcased their latest innovations in waste collection, recycling and disposal services, as well as energy generation from waste. The SeaCleaners was the only representative from France!
At conferences in the three theatres, numerous experts came together to present and/or learn about the latest solutions in the fields of street cleaning, sea and land cleaning, hazardous materials disposal, municipal recycling projects and modern landfill management.
The SeaCleaners team, composed of Alice Darondeau (Environment Engineer) and Ketut Sudarwata (field officer) ensured the strong visibility of the organisation in order to establish our presence in Indonesia as an actor in the field of land and sea clean-up, awareness raising and scientific research, together with our local partners.
The programme included two conferences about “The MOBULA 8, a multipurpose depollution boat in action in Bali”, numerous discussions on our booth with potential partners, particularly in the waste management industry, and exchanges with other key players from the sector.
What’s next? The next event (INDOWATER, INDOWASTE, INDORENERGY) will take place next year from August 14 to 16, 2024 in Surabaya.
